Voices of the Day: Lupe Fiasco feat. Hayley Williams

Okay first, it's been a couple of days, but I'm back. The semester's simmering down and things are getting hectic.

Last Sunday Wiz and Mac performed for free at Lehigh, I got a chance to interview Mac Miller for our school newspaper, hopefully I can post the recording up here. It's pretty funny. I'll keep you posted.

Don't think I forgot about you though. Recently, I was on Lupe Fiasco's blog and found the post that I linked right there. Apparently, Airplanes by B.o.B. and Hayley Williams was initially meant for Lupe Fiasco.

There's an interview with Jim Jonsin, which I'll include below, that reveals everything that happened. There's also an interview with Kinetics and One Love (they wrote the hook for the song) that verifies the song was meant for Lupe and not B.o.B.

Without further a due, I give you the interview as well as the original track. Interestingly enough, though B.o.B. and Lupe have similar styles in some senses, the song has a very different feel than the version that most people have heard.
