I know I haven't done a full-fledged Unheard Undergrad feature in a while, but Eddy B and Tim Gunter are worth the time and energy.
I've already featured one of their tracks in my Summer Playlist (Click if you haven't downloaded it yet), Just Another Day, which is a track laced with a beat perfectly balancing both an up-beat and breezy feel. It absolutely has that soundtrack to your summer kind of feel.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that their music is a completely new sound, but it is a fresh addition to the likes of Shwayze, Gym Class Heroes and is even comparable to the mood and quality of Mac Miller's album, K.I.D.S.
Lyricist and rapper, Eddy B hails from the University of North Carolina and brings flavor to Tim Gunter's feel-good beats. Producer, Tim Gunter, is representing for North Carolina State University in the college music scene.
If you haven't noticed as of yet, in this emerging world of music, producers, a once nameless entity, have broken through and claimed the fame that is rightfully theirs. What once was Shwayze, is now Shwayze and Cisco. Xaphoon Jones has emerged from behind the shadow of Chiddy Bang with his own brand and name. Eddy B and Tim Gunter got it right from the get-go.
Hey, producers need love, too.
