Voices of the Day: The Good Husbands

A group very new to me, but definitely with a presence in the game of rising hip hop artists, The Good Husbands dropped their mixtape, The Proposal, yesterday. Even as a native New Yorker, I love that laid back West coast feel layered with good rapping. This is absolutely feel-good, chill-out music, lifted out of the ranks with witty punchlines and easy hooks.

If you're in the Northeast, hopefully you have power by now (chances are you do, if you're reading this), so take a moment to forget about the last few stressful days and relax.

In fact, I heard about The Good Husbands via Mike Stud as a feature on the Ima Do Me remix with Alysha Lynn. She sings a belty chorus while the rappers respectively tear it up on the verses. Simple and upbeat, check it out below:
