Voices of Tufts University: Timeflies

Different day, different type of sound. Timeflies is a musical duo consisting of DJ Rob Resnick and Singer/Rapper/Vocalist Cal, both in their senior year at Tufts. Though they incorporate several influences of hip hop, their music leans much heavier toward the electro side. Think a collab. with B.O.B. and the Cataracs and bam, you have Timeflies.

I have to admit Tufts gets points for this group. I wouldn't go as far as saying as their sound is fresh, it's pretty much in line with the majority of new mainstream songs that are hitting your radio waves. They've dropped several singles, including a collaboration with Loggy, called Teenage Dream. The group is looking to perform for colleges across the country, so if you happen to work for the production team at your school and are looking for someone to perform, Timeflies are worth the investment. That's just my two cents.

I'm a big fan of their song Fade even though it is a much mellower version of their style of music. Their new track, Cars Money and Fame is worth a listen also so I'll put up both tracks for your listening pleasure. Show them some love. Tufts, stand up. These kids are good.

When listening to their music I think of: B.O.B., The Cataracs, Bruno Mars, more up beat electro Shwayze.
Their music is best listened to when: you're hanging out, rolling around in your car, it's definitely college anthem material.
I would recommend this music to: college kids, fans of Far East Movement or anyone who appreciates a good electro/techno and hip hop infusion.
