In a change of pace, and in a place far from our usual east coast university bubble, I bring you Bliss n Eso, an Australian rap group I've been in love with for a while. This award winning hip hop band released their most recent album, Running on Air, in 2010, which certified platinum on Australian charts.
Yesterday Bliss n Eso dropped the project they've been hyping for a while; their video to Coastal Kids, a song that focuses on the Australian coastal lifestyle. The visuals can only add to this slightly blues-influenced track, enhanced by collaborations with the action sports industry. Running On Air often feels like a balance between rock and hip hop, a mix that is definitely appealing to a fan like me and makes for an interesting crossover of genres.
